Recycling Program at Bethesda Park
It is official! We now have an ongoing recycling program at Bethesda Park. BAAB has received donations from two generous benefactors - allowing us to begin the program. We will soon have five recycling bins located throughout the park. With such a large and active park, we will need more recycling bins to accommodate the 800+ bottles sold from the concession stand weekly. To date, I have received a great deal of interest in the program. Everyone to whom I have spoken sees it as a true need. With that in mind, BAAB is accepting contributions in any amount ($5, $10, $25) to allow us to expand our recycling program by purchasing more bins. If you are interested, please email me at pbishop@baabonline.com. I will make arrangements to receive your check and will ensure that you get a receipt for your donation.
Thank you in advance for your support of this important program and for your support of BAAB Baseball.

Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation Named #1 Park System in Nation
Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation was recognized as the number one park agency in the nation as it received the coveted Grand Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management from the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA).

In May, GCPR was named one of four finalists for the award in the Class I (population 250,000-up) category, along with Ft. Worth Parks and Community Services Dept., TX, BREC, Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge, LA, and the City of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services, NV. Finalists then submitted master/strategic plans and 11-minute videos featuring their agency and achievements. The 2008 Gold Medal judging committee determined the Gold Medal winners in each category.

The most prestigious award of its kind, the Gold Medal honors park systems and communities throughout the United States that demonstrate excellence in citizen involvement and support systems, long-range planning, fiscal resource management, environmental stewardship, preservation, technological integration, program planning and assessment, professional development, agency recognition and services for special populations.

Evaluate Your Manager and Coach Online!
You can now submit an evaluation of test your team's manager and coach through this website! This is a very important process because it allows the BAAB Board of Directors to review the performance of our managers and coaches -- thus providing you and your child with the best experience possible. To evaluate your team's manager and coach, go to your team's page by selecting your league from the Baseball or Softball menus on the left and then clicking on your team name. The link to the evaluation form appears above the game schedule. It only takes a minute, but it's one of the most important pieces of feedback you can provide your association.
