BROOKWOOD AMERICAN WINS PEE WEE ALL STAR TOURNAMENT.

Brookwood American Pee Wee All Stars won the 2009 coach pitch All Star tournament by going 4-1 in All Star play.

Brookwood American opened the All Star tournament with a convincing 25-3 victory over Norcross on Saturday. They followed it up with a 12-1 victory over Grayson on Sunday. In both games Brookwood American hit the ball very well and played outstanding defense. In the winners bracket final Brookwood American faced off against Brookwood Southern in what turned out to be one of the best Pee Wee baseball games ever played at Bethesda Park. Brookwood American was down 6-1 to Brookwood Southern and fought their way back to tie the game and go into extra innings. Brookwood American won 8-6 in extra innings. Both Brookwood teams played their hearts out and played as good a defensive game that can be played by 7 and 8 year olds. The fans got their monies worth. The following night Brookwood American suffered their only loss of the tournament to Brookwood National. Brookwood American then came back in the Championship Game and beat Brookwood Southern for the title.

The motto of the Brookwood American All Star team was 1-2-3 HUSTLE and that is what they did at all times. The boys learned how to play the game the right way, made some friends, and had a great few weeks.
